Land of Children Festival

Every summer for 5 days, Château-d'Œx is transformed into a children's paradise. The five-day program includes free workshops for children, as well as street entertainment and a wide choice of paying shows in theatres and under big tops. This is your chance to try your hand at kite-making, perform circus tricks or learn to play the djembe or the hang. And for construction enthusiasts, this year's event will be delighted to welcome the winners of the 2021 French TV show Lego Masters: the Swiss duo Éric and Alex. They'll be on hand every day in the Children's Village to help youngsters build their wildest frescoes. As for shows, 12 different performances will be offered to visitors each day, six of them at family prices, unchanged since the festival began precisely 12 years ago.

A big top in the sports center

The Village Hall, for example, will resound to the sounds of Disney film music, from The Jungle Book to The Aristochats and The Lion King. A show full of surprises. For this 2023 edition, a big top will also be erected inside the Sports Centre for a unique and mysterious show. And let's not forget the renewed presence of Gilbert & Oleg in the companies, or artist Baptiste Raffanel, who will be balancing on his shopping cart as he strolls down the village streets. The 240-metre-long giant zip line will be back in action, departing from the Château-d'Oex Temple and landing at the back of the soccer pitch. Thrills guaranteed. And let's not forget the treasure hunt, which will continue to delight young and old alike.
