Gryon Steam Park at Gryon - La Barboleuse
Overview
Intro
There is a small steam railway, a mini-golf course and a playground for children.
This railway park, surrounded by a dreamlike décor, has a 130 metre-long circuit, used by two locomotives, one of which is a petrol train (a 2/2 on a 1:8 scale of the MOB), and the other is a steam train (a 020 Decauville, a replica of a model dating back to the beginning of last century). Supported by visitors, this steam train pulls five passenger cars and two Knie Circus wagons, a refrigerator wagon, a coal wagon and a tank wagon. To cap it all off, you can visit a small museum dedicated to the world of the railways and end your visit with a round of mini-golf in the shade.
How to get there:
By car: take the motorway, exit at Aigle and follow signs for Villars-sur-Ollon, then for Gryon. There is a car park on Place de la Barboleuse.
By public transport: take the Bex - Villars - Bretaye (BVB) train and alight at Barboleuse, behind the bakery.
