Swiss Historic Hotel

Originally a farmhouse, it has belonged to Grisons nobility, the Von Salis family, since 1877. Nicholas Hartmann converted it into a patrician villa in 1883. Wooden loggias, facades with historic sgraffiti and wrought-iron work adorn this hotel. The rooms are painted, panelled with stone pine and decorated with stucco. Original stone pine rooms and the Von Salis room contain furniture from different eras.

Certified by ICOMOS

Historic Hotel of the year 2015 The Hotel & Restaurant Chesa Salis in Bever is famous for its well-preserved historic rooms. Not something to be taken for granted in a building that was originally built as a farmhouse in 1590, transformed into a patrician villa in 1884 and then converted into a hotel in 1981. For the jury, this was a key reason to pick the Chesa Salis as the Historic Hotel of the year 2015.
