High-altitude and panoramic hikes have two unbeatable advantages: they bring hikers deep into untouched landscapes and offer glorious views of the surrounding mountains, valleys and lakes. Time to hit the heights!

La Berra via la Valsainte

Far away from the crowds, this hike leads across the meadows and forests of the Javro valley. The route through the low mountain range to the summit of La Berra is technically easy, but it is quite an uphill climb. Impressive: the charterhouse of La Valsainte marks the start of the hike.

Zermatt five-lake trail

The five-lake trail is a magnificent hiking tour through the mountains of Zermatt: the Matterhorn is reflected in three of the mountain lakes, and the view of the gigantic mountains is quite unique. The hiking trail links Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee and Leisee lakes.

The 4.5-hour hike to Piz Mundaun involves a total ascent of 800 metres. At 2,000 metres above sea level, you are treated to a view sweeping from the Bernese Oberland and Chur all the way to the Austrian Alps.

Ridge hike to the Moléson

Gratweg Stoos

The two Mythen peaks to the right; to the left, first the Riemenstalden valley, then Lake Uri – a succession of sweeping vistas! Chairlift ascent to the Klingenstock and scenic hike to Fronalpstock with panoramic ridge views as well as extensive views from the mountain house. Valley descent to Stoos again via chairlift.
