Housed in an Art Nouveau building, the 3-star Villa Toscane in Montreux features 42 guest rooms. Decorated in a modern style, all rooms provide free Wi-Fi access. Facing the Royal Plaza Montreux, the hotel offers the whole range of 5-star amenities including a restaurant, 2 bars, a spa, an underground parking & a conference centre. Historically, 2 almost symmetrical villas, Toscane & Pauline, were built in 1905 by the Swiss architect, Louis Villard (1856-1937). With the construction of nearly 35 rental, commercial, and hotel buildings, he played a crucial role in the tourist development of Montreux and its surroundings. In 1989, significant renovations were undertaken to transform the 2 villas into a hotel, also creating a glazed passage to connect the terraces on the 1st floor. Renovated in 2012, the building has retained its original charm thanks to its Mediterranean architecture, floral stained glass windows, columns, and bright spaces offering multiple access points to the outdoors.
