The University Hospital Zurich provides state-of-the-art medical care and cutting-edge medicine in the heart of Zurich and at Zurich Airport. Nearly all medical disciplines are represented in our 43 departments and institutes. Our medical focus areas are neuroscience, oncology and cardio-vascular diseases. Moreover we treat complex health issues, rare diseases or burn patients and always take an interdisciplinary approach based on up-to-date research.

Description

The University Hospital Zurich (USZ) is the main academic hospital and one of the most renowned hospitals in Switzerland. Our 43 departments and institutes, which are located in the heart of Zurich and at Zurich Airport, cover almost all medical disciplines. We apply the latest treatment methods according to strict scientific, evidence-based criteria and the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Some of them are only available in our academic hospital. Multimorbid patients with complex health problems travel from all over the world to be treated in the University Hospital Zurich, thus the percentage of patients with complex diseases is particularly high in our hospital.

Research and education is conducted in close collaboration with the University of Zurich medical school and other international universities, including the ETH Zurich, one of the world’s top-rated universities. Our hospital is at the forefront of medical research and has an excellent international reputation.
